Surfware offers SolidWorks PDO™ software to all eligible SURFCAM customers. This full working product as sold by SolidWorks, excluding the assembly and drafting functionality, instantly upgrades SURFCAM users to the worlds leading solid modeler. SURFCAM incorporates complete SolidWorks interoperability to accelerate the design to manufacturing process

Powerful associativity enables users to open native SolidWorks files directly into SURFCAM, completely eliminating the translation process. SURFCAM automatically recognizes any design revisions in the solid model and regenerates only affected toolpaths. With this seamless interoperability, SURFCAM users can easily adapt to downstream design changes

 SolidWorks PDO is only available with SURFCAM.

Surface & Wireframe Some SURFCAM users do all of their 2D and 3D design using SURFCAM's robust surface and wireframe commands. Freeform design and surface manipulation have been native to SURFCAM's kernel for over 20 years. Native Associativity as well as non-native. Any design change in SURFCAM is flagged by the operations manager. The user can choose to bring the operations up to date interactively or automatically in one step.

Mold Design

The first task is solving the initial problem of receiving a part model and making it a mold that can be manufactured. SURFCAM is equipped with Advanced Surfacing tools for creating complex parting lines, parting faces, and shut-offs.

SURFCAM doesn't require a perfect "water-tight" solid to get the job done. Many pattern makers receive imperfect or partial CAD models. In SURFCAM, you can be productive regardless of gaps and missing information.  
Interoperability Interoperability is key when taking on jobs from several clients. It is critical to work with not only Parasolids files but with various file types from Catia, Pro-E, Unigraphics, Kubotek, and more. SURFCAM gives you the power to read and make any model "machine-ready".
