SURFCAM offers true simultaneous 4 and 5-axis machining, full visualization and verification.
This enables the NC programmer to move and control any combination of the machines axes.

SURFCAM allows machining of parts with rotary axes at any orientation.
- Trim machining allows the machinist to specify the tool vector at any point along a contour.
- 4 and 5-axis tool shank containment offers cutting through a window to simplify operations
such as cylinder or manifold head porting.
4 and 5-axis single- and multi-surface machining capability with:
- Lead, lag and swarf (cutting with side of tool)
- Full tool and shank gouge avoidance using ball, bull and flat end mills.
- Drive surface / check surfaces with any number of check surfaces avoiding all other surrounding
surfaces
The simultaneous 5-axis milling features in SURFCAM are beyond that of most PC-based systems and
exceed that of many workstation based NC software systems that are offered at a significantly higher
