Many positive things have happened since our last Newsletter in October. First and foremost is the release of SURFCAM Velocity 4. Our resellers are telling us that this is the most exciting new release of SURFCAM in the last ten years, and we think all our customers will have the same reaction. There are numerous new and/or enhanced features in our 3-Axis and 4/5 Axis SURFCAM product. You can find the details on our website, and we encourage you to enroll for the online training that will be available through our site starting in January, or to attend training offered by your reseller.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 7,451,013 to Surfware, Inc. for Engagement Milling, thereby providing legal protection for Surfware's TrueMill® technology, the leader in high-performance milling and machining software.  The patent is the culmination of a great amount of dedicated testing and research by Alan Diehl and Pat Patterson. Filing a patent application is a relatively simple matter, but following it through until it is issued requires a great deal of work and

commitment. This work has been the primary and daily focus of both Alan and Pat for the last five years. I would also like to thank Darrin Bryant, Surfware Application Engineer Manager, for his contribution to TrueMill design concepts.

Surfware continues to research and perform proof of concept development on several more ideas that have been filed as a Continuation in Part (CIP) for the patent. We are committed to the continual improvement of our technology to help enable our customers to become more profitable and competitive.

Looking ahead, our 2009 SURFCAM product roadmap is being carefully designed with input from our customers, our international and domestic dealer network and our outstanding team of experienced programmers and Application Engineers.
